IELTS Test Modules ::
Candidates are tested in
- Listening
- Reading
- Writing
- Speaking
- The first three modules- Listening, Reading, Writing must be completed in one day. No break is given between the three modules.
- Speaking Module may be taken, at the discretion of the test center, in the period seven days before or after the other three modules.
Why IELTS is required for student visa ?
A good score in IELTS is an entry requirement for student visa admission in many colleges and universities around the world. IELTS is widely accepted in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada, USA and many countries. Over 1,800 education institutions, professional organisations and accrediting bodies in the USA accepting IELTS as proof of a candidate’s English language skill.Validity of IELTS score
IELTS scores are valid for two years and the students are not allowed to repeat the examination for 90 days from the date of first attempt. So it is highly recommended that IELTS perticipents should get well prepared and sit for examination.

- At first collect an application form from any of British Council Bangladesh offices OR download it from British Council Bangladesh Website OR from the British Council Service booths located at the following branches of Standard Chartered Bank

- Read through the IELTS Information Booklet (dates, registration process, refunds, IELTS support services etc). You can get this IELTS Booklet from British Council Bangladesh website
- Complete the form carefully and attach all necessary documents ( photocopy of first 4 pages of passport, three passport size photographs and British Council payment slip if you are paying through bank).
- Submit your completed application with above documents to one of British Council offices or at the Service 1 booth at the above branches of Standard Chartered Bank.
Please remember that IELTS test registration is first-come-first-serve basis
- You can register at any of the British Council IELTS Test Centers/Offices in Bangladesh Or You can Register with IDP : IELTS Australia.
